REFUND/RETURN POLICY

Refund/Return Policy:

-----Due to the personalized nature of our business and our products, we do not accept returns on our items. Simply stated, we cannot resell your family photographs. Please be sure to adhere to the requirements of photo uploads and email us prior to ordering. Check our blog for information on recommended resolution.

We sell Blank White Puzzles for special events and each puzzle is made at the time of order. We cannot reshelve these puzzles and do not accept returns. Once the puzzle leaves our facility it is rendered as a USED item and will not be accepted for return or exchange. Please be sure to review all information prior to ordering.

Our policy lasts 14 days. You must contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order if there are difficulties with the product. We will work with you toward a solution. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at donna@themissingpiecepuzzlecompany.com.

if you wish to process a refund be aware your personal information must remain in our system.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at donna@themissingpiecepuzzlecompany.com and send your item to: PO Box 408 Richland New Jersey US 08350.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  • 8" x 10": 1200 x 1500 pixels
  • 10" x 13": 1500 x 1950 pixels
  • 16" x 20": 2400 x 3000 pixels
  • 20" x 30": 3600 x 5400 pixels
We recommend that you use images that are equal to or larger than the recommended sizes.  .jpeg or .jpg only please

If you are uploading a photo from a cell phone, please be sure to transfer the file in its highest resolution.  For example, on the IPhone, please transfer the file as "Actual Size".  Most files are compressed when transferred, leading to a loss of clarity and resolution. Transferring at the highest setting will provide better results.

 

Simply click the displayed "browse" button to view the files on your computer's hard drive, floppy drive or digital camera. Select the image file you wish to upload and click OK. Now just click the "Add to Cart" button for the product you desire, and your photo will automatically be uploaded to our production servers and electronically attached to your order.

Please note the following:

Uploading Image 
Files must be 20MB or smaller and jpeg format. The upload time will depend on the file size and your Internet connection speed. Please be patient when uploading a large image.

Please try to use the best-quality image possible.

Uploading from Cell Phone  
If you are uploading a photo from a cell phone, please be sure to transfer the file in its highest resolution.  For example, on the IPhone, please transfer the file as "Actual Size".  Most files are compressed when transferred, leading to a loss of clarity and resolution. Transferring at the highest setting will provide better results.

Best Size for Image
Depending on print area and size of your photo, minimum photo size requirements will vary. For best print quality your photo needs to be at 300 dpi. For example, if your photo is 3000 x 2400 pixels in size, it will print best at 10 x 8 inches or smaller.

Our photo editing process will inform you if your image is below minimum size.

Low-Quality Image
If your image is below the minimum resolution/size requirements, do not simply increase the size in your editing software. You must either rescan the image or use a higher-quality image.

Older Generation Phone Cameras
Please note that most older generation phone cameras will produce photos of very low quality that are too small for print reproduction. Photos downloaded from Facebook are also of lower quality.

Scanning Photographs
When scanning in photographs, please use a resolution of 300 dpi or more. When taking digital images, set your camera at the highest possible resolution. You can always reduce the resolution later. Low-resolution images cannot be increased without loss of image quality.

Cropping of Image
Your image will be reproduced as it appears. In some cases, we may crop the image for size, to fit the product you order. Close-ups and images with bright colors will produce the best results.
